1. Who we are

WeightManager is an Android app developed by Diego (WeigthManagerApp@gmail.com). It is a personal weight-tracking tool with no back-end server or user accounts.

2. Data we collect — and where it stays

WeightManager collects the following data entered by you:

• Weight measurements — dates and weight values you log manually, import via CSV, or sync from Google Health Connect.

This data is stored exclusively:

• On your device — in the app's local storage (WebView localStorage). It never leaves your phone unless you explicitly export a CSV file.
• In Google Health Connect — if you grant Health Connect permission, data is read from and written to Health Connect on your device. Health Connect is a local Android system service; data stored there is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not transmit your weight data to any server, cloud service, or third party.

3. Health Connect permissions

If you choose to connect Health Connect, WeightManager requests the following permissions:

• READ_HEALTH_DATA_HISTORY — to read weight records older than 30 days.
• READ WeightRecord — to import your weight history into the app.
• WRITE WeightRecord — to write new entries back to Health Connect so other compatible apps stay in sync.

These permissions are used solely to display and sync your weight data within the app. No Health Connect data is transmitted outside your device.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

WeightManager displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob after the 30-day free trial expires, unless you have purchased the "Remove Ads" option.

AdMob may collect and use the following to serve personalised ads:

• Advertising ID (Android Ad ID)
• Device information (model, OS version)
• Coarse location (derived from IP address)
• App usage information

This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalised ads at any time via Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.

5. In-app purchases

The optional "Remove Ads" purchase is processed entirely by Google Play Billing. WeightManager does not handle or store any payment information. All transaction data is subject to Google Pay's Privacy Notice.

Purchase entitlements are verified through Google Play's servers on each app launch to restore your purchase across devices.

6. Data we do NOT collect

WeightManager does not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any account information
• Location data
• Camera, microphone, or contacts
• Crash reports or analytics (beyond what Google Play collects automatically)
• Any data from children under 13

7. Data sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties, except as described above for Google AdMob (advertising) and Google Play (purchases). Both are governed by Google's own privacy policies.

8. Data retention and deletion

All app data lives on your device. You can delete it at any time by:

• Clearing app data — Android Settings → Apps → WeightManager → Storage → Clear Data.
• Uninstalling the app — removes all locally stored data.
• Revoking Health Connect permissions — Health Connect app → Apps & permissions → WeightManager → Revoke. This does not delete records already stored in Health Connect; manage those within the Health Connect app.

9. Children's privacy

WeightManager is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data through this app, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
